Having helped with the delivery of earlier housing phases we were appointed by Helix to design the final phase on a prominent parcel of land at a key node within the newly established movement network.
Planning permission was granted in July 2026 for 21 houses of 2 or 3 storeys offering two, three or four bedrooms. The homes will be built for Stonewater Housing Association for either affordable rent or shared ownership.
The layout provides strong street enclosure with the stepped frontage on Barley Place echoing that nearby on River Walk. Simple red brick elevations are decorated with details similar to those on recent developments and on the original brewery building itself.
Whilst being within a short walk of the river and town centre the properties feature roof-mounted solar panels feeding EV charging points and ground level air-source heat pumps.
