Traditional homes in a green historic garden
- 48 houses in an ecologically-rich landscape - full planning permission
A design and planning submission jointly with architect Robert Adam for a new residential development comprising a total of 48 new homes with associated landscaping, parking and access.

The 3.28ha site is located on the south western edge of Winchester, Hampshire and the proposal replaces an existing dwelling set in substantial gardens and grounds with clusters of traditionally-designed homes. The site is on a strategic local route with direct connections to the city centre and Rail Station.

The scheme provides a high quality, new quarter of Winchester, based on the City’s unique identity. The site has good proximity to local facilities and services, including a neighbouring park and ride.

The layout is a response to the rectilinear nature of the site and, in particular, the avenue of trees in the woodland area. The scheme builds on Winchester’s rich Regency and Georgian architecture and adopts traditional urban design principles, formal geometry, axial views and key spaces. The new homes vary from a 891sqft bungalow to 4,260sqft grand houses.
