The vision for The Upper Acre is to deliver a new, high-quality and sustainably-driven phase of One Horton Heath that reflects positively the surrounding residential character and landscape setting.

Forming part of the wider One Horton Heath vision for a vibrant new community of up to 2,500 homes, Upper Acre reflects a strong commitment to creating a healthy community, fostering a prosperous place and contributing to Eastleigh as a green borough.

Informed by the One Horton Heath Design Code, our Principal Plan places legibility and placemaking at the heart, creating a distinctive sense of arrival and identity.

The scheme includes 35% apartments, the majority fronting Foxwood Road, — the main connecting route through One Horton Heath — strengthening key gateways and providing a strong visual presence along this important spine.

Lower-density homes are thoughtfully positioned alongside existing properties at Barley Fields, ensuring a sensitive and respectful transition to the neighbouring community.

Developed in close collaboration with the client and shaped by a landscape-led approach from HED, Upper Acre is defined by generous green spaces at its core. These spaces provide opportunities for community interaction, promote wellbeing, enhance biodiversity and deliver lasting ecological value.
