With its Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architectural grandeur and illustrious military heritage, Royal Haslar is being restored and regenerated through a programme of conservation and new construction to create a unique, multi-generational waterfront village.
After the grant of Outline planning permission in 2016 for a mix of uses including 286 apartments, a care retirement community and 244 retirement homes, Boyle & Summers has been appointed to lead on Phase 3 of the development called Solent View, including the reserved matters of the outline planning consent.
Solent View comprises of 120 apartments incorporating the conversion of 3 listed buildings and the construction of 5 separate new buildings, all located at the sea wall edge overlooking the waterfront. Construction work began in autumn 2025.
